All race information will be sent out by email approximately 2 weeks prior to race day, please ensure you read the information closely, and check your spam filter.
At registration you will be given a timing chip (aka dibber) which will be attached to your wrist, your times are recorded electronically as you enter and exit transition areas and on the finish line.
We are unable to predict race day water temperatures, however the temperature of the water will be taken on the morning of the race to ensure that the temperature meets the Triathlon Scotland minimum temperature for open water swimming.
Whether wetsuits are mandatory depends on water temperature, as a general rule wetsuits will only become optional in water temperatures above 16oC, not something that happens a lot in Scotland. However, any wetsuit will do – a cheapy generic thing will be absolutely fine for your first races. There are also various places that will rent triathlon specific wetsuits – do an online search.
Numbers should be worn on your back for bike events and front for running events, if your event is a triathlon a race belt can be purchased to enable the change of position.
Bike racking will be on event morning, please read you event information for transition opening and closing times.
Sorry we don’t have any canicross races, so please do not take your dog out on to our courses.
We don’t draw these up until a couple of days before the race, and don’t generally publish them online. They will be available at sign-on.
